The biggest event of the year of the EUSBSR – 6th Annual Forum in Jūrmala (Latvia)

Nr.19  | 22.04.2015  | EUSBSR  | EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Tourism

The 2015 Annual Forum, entitled ‘Achieving e-Quality by Connecting the Region’, will focus on digitalization, connectivity, as well as competitiveness of the Baltic Sea Region. The agenda will provide for an opportunity to discuss questions related to blue growth, business opportunities, energy, spatial planning, health, culture, tourism, science and other topics of regional significance. It will also be a moment for the main stakeholders of the EUSBSR to look at progress in implementing the Strategy, to discuss what still needs to be done to realise the full potential of the EUSBSR and bring more positive changes to the people in the Baltic Sea region and the whole of the EU.

PAC Tourism will take the chance to moderate a workshop called ‘Maritime and Coastal Tourism in the Baltic Sea Region’. The idea of the workshop is to work out new strategies and possibilities to use the trend on maritime and coastal tourism for all tourism stakeholders. To do so best practices for projects and networks will be presented. The allover aim is to involve the private sector (e.g. cruise enterprises) more in all activities to give a basis for a well working network with new initiatives.

We are very happy to have Mrs Monika Griefahn, Director of society and environment department at AIDA Cruises, as our key speaker.

All stakeholders – public or private – are invited to take part and discuss with us. To do so, please register for the event. The deadline for registration is 24 May 2015 and the number of seats is limited.

A draft agenda, as well as practical information might be found here:

We look forward to welcoming you in Jūrmala!
