On 13 November 2019 around 80 tourism stakeholders gathered in Brussels, Belgium to discuss the many aspects of sustainability and to meet as well as exchange with their colleagues.

The Forum was organized by the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Tourist Board together with Policy Area Tourism in the frame of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. Keynotes, presentations and panel discussions were used to meet the needs of the various stakeholder groups, including private businesses interested in transnational cooperation and exchange.

Ms. Andrea Krabbe (PAC Tourism) gave an overview on the future of Policy Area Tourism in the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and the revision process of the EUSBSR Action plan.

Moreover, the Forum attracted back-to-back meetings of the Steering Committee of Policy Area Tourism and the BSTC project partners. In addition, the PA Tourism seized the opportunity to meet with representatives from the European Union and the Macro-Regional strategies to discuss further options of Baltic Sea cooperation.
