In the funding period 2014-2020 cross-sectoral tourism-related activities can be eligible for funding in various funding mechanisms.
Relevant European Territorial Cooperation programmes covering the Baltic Sea will financially support tourism-related activities, however in connection with major issues such as innovation, transport, resource efficiency as well as naturla and cultural heritage.
COSME is the EU programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medi-um-sized Enterprises (SMEs). This programme will also support activities that contribute to the enhancement of European Tourism’s competitiveness and sustainability.
With regard to the Baltic Sea region, non-EU-funding will be available to develop sustainable projects which are in line with relevant Baltic Sea regional strategies.
