Business Generating Network and Toolbox for the BSR

Project description

The tourist industry in the Baltic Sea region is fragmented, lacking structured and formalised networks. Most companies are SMEs that do not have the wherewithal for developing business solutions. Physical and virtual tools and networks that can create synergies are the project’s focus. By organising seminars and workshops, the project aims to 1) identify the relevant project partners that can participate in the future flagship project; 2) formulate the future flagship project; 3) start working on a definition of a sustainable business model for the tourist industry in the BSR. The project’s long-term goals include the development of BSR into a competitive tourist destination with common service standards; creation of a network between tourist business and government organisations and promotion of professional competence of tourist industry employees.
